In his book, Unweaving The Rainbow, Richard Dawkins gives this thought-provoking illustrative analogy:

‘Fling your arms wide in an expansive gesture to span all of evolution from its origin at your left fingertip to today at your right fingertip. All the way across your midline to well past your right shoulder, life consists of nothing but bacteria….The dinosaurs originate in the middle of your right palm….The whole story of Homo sapiens….is contained in the thickness of one nail clipping….As for recorded history….Napoleon and Hitler, the Beatles and Bill Clinton, they and everyone that knew them are blown away in the dust from one light stroke of a nail file.’

We only get a very short time to enjoy everything that life has to offer. Spending it in angst, fear or the fruitless pursuit of possessions seems a real shame.

You and I have everything we need at our disposal right now to squeeze ever ounce of fulfillment out of our lives and I can say with absolute certainty: It is all up to you how you choose to live you own life! It is up to you to empower yourself; to take control of the steps required to become the person you choose to be.

I don’t believe there is a right or wrong way, only how you feel about yourself and how you see yourself.

I don’t know anyone who wakes up in the morning and thinks to themselves ‘mmmm, how can I screw up my life today?’ We all wake up wanting a better life and to feel better about ourselves.

There are no quick fixes but there are however tools and resources that can assist you in your pursuit of happiness.

It is my hope that The Self Help Sphere can be a part of your journey, providing access to the best self help resources available, so you can get on with living the life you truly want.
